FireLab Pyrénées — independent fire investigation, technical analysis of the loss.

Every investigation is built on a scientific method, an independent reading of the loss and a report based exclusively on factual findings.

FireLab Pyrénées operates within the fields of fire investigation and post-fire technical analysis, whether in judicial, insurance or private contexts.

The firm relies on a structured network of independent fire and explosion investigators, mobilised according to the specifics of each case, across metropolitan France and overseas territories.

This organisation ensures that every assignment brings together the expertise strictly required for the analysis, within a coherent, independent and technically sound approach.

Our method

One method. One objective: the truth behind the fire.

Every investigation follows a reproducible, science-based methodology aligned with the NFPA 921 Guide.

1
Assignment
Analysis of the brief, the context of the assignment and the initial technical data available.
2
Scene examination
Examination of the fire scene, access conditions, initial observations and preservation of evidence relevant to the analysis.
3
Reading the evidence
Analysis of fire patterns, thermal markers and combustion traces observed on the scene.
4
Reconstruction
Determination of the area of origin and point of origin through systematic elimination of hypotheses.
5
Evidence collection
Collection of samples, preservation of relevant artefacts and referral to a specialised laboratory when required.
6
Investigation report
Drafting of a comprehensive report based on findings, technical analysis and the established or undetermined cause.

Our investigations are conducted in accordance with the NFPA 921 Guide, the internationally recognised standard for fire and explosion investigation. They are grounded in a scientific method based on physical evidence, fire patterns, combustion traces and the systematic elimination of hypotheses.
