Prevention — Fire Safety
Consulting, regulatory support and bringing establishments up to safety standards — before disaster strikes.
When investigation feeds prevention.
For more than fifteen years, FireLab Pyrénées™ has been conducting investigations on Explosion & Fire scenes. Every case yields a lesson. A non-compliant installation. A lack of maintenance. An overlooked risk. This constant feedback from the field feeds our prevention engineering.
Understanding how a fire starts, develops and spreads means understanding how to prevent it. FireLab Pyrénées™ puts this dual expertise — investigation and prevention — at the service of operators, property managers and local authorities who want to protect their establishments — and the people who occupy them.
Who our fire prevention services are for
Operators of ERPs (Établissements Recevant du Public — public-access buildings) — restaurants, hotels, shops, schools, healthcare facilities, performance venues, sports facilities. Property managers and managing agents of multi-occupancy residential buildings. Local authorities, social housing landlords, manufacturers, event organisers.
Each service is tailored to the nature of the establishment, its layout, its occupancy and the regulations that apply to it.
Our fire prevention services
Fire safety consulting
Identifying risks before they turn into losses.
Personalised support for operators in identifying the fire risks specific to their establishment. Analysis of operating constraints, operational recommendations, prioritisation of the actions to be taken. A single point of contact, from the initial diagnosis through to effective compliance.
Safety notice
The regulatory document on which the opening of your ERP depends.
Drafting of the safety notice required for any application for a building permit, opening or modification of a public-access building. This document presents the project, the classification of the establishment and all the regulatory provisions planned with regard to fire safety.
Preparation for the safety commission visit
Preparing for the inspection — and securing a favourable opinion.
Full preparation of the establishment manager ahead of the safety commission visit. On-site pre-inspection, identification of non-compliance issues, corrective action plan and technical assistance on the day of the visit. The objective: a favourable opinion at the first inspection.
Residential building diagnostics
Assessing the safety level of your multi-occupancy building.
Assessment of the fire safety level of multi-occupancy residential buildings, co-owned properties and supported-housing facilities under the French order of 31 January 1986. Technical report identifying non-compliance issues, with a master plan for the works to be undertaken.
Accessibility for people with reduced mobility
Fire safety and accessibility go hand in hand.
Drafting of accessibility notices and fire safety notices for people with disabilities. Preparation of CERFA application files, plans and support through to prefectoral notification.
Event fire safety officer
A qualified safety officer, present on the day.
Provision of qualified personnel to ensure fire safety during one-off events — public gatherings, shows, assemblies. On-site presence, monitoring of fire-fighting and rescue equipment, liaison with the emergency services.
